25. The Lives of Others-great movie about how crazy communism was right before the wall went down in Germany. Subtitled but worth it.
26. Little Children-Features a character who is not really feeling the motherhood next to the alpha moms at the playground and then goes from there. An interesting pick for me!
27. This is England-really disturbing but very interesting
28. A History of Violence-so bad I did not even want to put it on the list

The Baby Shower-February 2, 2008

I knew I had love and support for this journey, but to have it all bottled up in one room was an amazing shot of energy and inspiration. My mother always said, "Show me your friends and I will show you what you are." At the time it was meant as a cautionary statement to keep me from hanging around dirtbags. If I can believe that it holds true today, and extends to my family as well, then surely I must be pretty cool. Each woman in that room has given me something, and I don't mean like a high chair or bouncy seat! Each something I carry with me, and for that I am truly blessed. This day will sustain me through the remainder of this pregnancy and through those early confusing days of motherhood.
