There has been a recent demand for more pictures of Charlie. Here he is napping just like his dad and enjoying his binkie just like his cousin Ryan did. Hopefully, Ryan will be able to be his sponsor when he has to quit the bink. Above, we have him trying to use his C-PAP cell phone to call his sister in the next isolete to ask her how he can get this big plastic thing off of his face and out of his nose because he can clearly see that she is not wearing hers for most of the day.

Hi Amy and Bryan! Nori and Charlie are absolutely beautiful!! Sandy just sent me your website this morning and I'm so glad that she did b/c I've been thinking about you both and praying for your babies to get bigger and stronger soon so the 4 of you can come home (not that you are missing out on much here in chilly NJ!!LOL) I think this blog is wonderful and that you and Bryan are truly inspirational! Your positive attitude and ability to always seen the bright side of things is contagious. Your babies are very blessed to have you both as their parents! I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers and look forward to seeing you when you return to NJ!!

Hi Amy and Bry - I missed you both terribly at your usual visit time this year... Liz just forwarded me your blog, and I'm so glad she did. I haven't quite figured out quite how to say I'm so sorry for your loss and congratulations on your miracles at the same time. Your babies are beautiful and I look forward to following along your journey the rest of the way. You have all been in our thoughts and in our prayers, as we've got quite a few requests for the spirit in the sky these days. My next chocolate martini (not that I have had one in QUITE some time) is a toast to you and to Bryan, to Nori and to Charlie, and to Bobby's spirit who will be with you all, always. I love you, my friend, and as always, admire your strength. xoxo Jen
I wondered...do the Charlie and Nori ever spend time together?
Nori and Charlie are becoming rather popular here at the Clemson computer lab. My thoughts are with you guys.
Hi,
Cousin Matt here. I am glad things are going well. The little ones I thin snuck into a poem I wrote the other day. I was at first inspired by the names of the noble gases. Krypton, meaning "Secret" Xenon meaning "Stranger." Later I revised it to include Neon and Argon, wit the phrase "Neonatal Argonauts." After I wrote it I did a double take. These two appear to faring better firstly than the narrative of the poem indicates and also certainly than participants in the Trojan wars but metaphors always break down leaving reality holding the bag. Also the poem I wrote is missing a reference to Radon, but does include a reference to Nitrogen, which is actually not one of the Noble Gases. I would stress that this poem is not "about" the little ones but they simply kind of crept in because they've been on my mind and I am looking forward to meeting them and maybe spoiling them a little. Anyway, here's the poem (for which I have yet to come up with a suitable title):
Krypton, the color of envy
Hidden, green, poisonous
Scraps of a destroyed home
Xenon strangers
Leaving exiled heroes to die
Neonatal argonauts
drawing the shallowest breath
Under distant yellow sun's
Vacant smile in blue nitrogen sky
oops, I also left out Fluorine as well.
